I have created a new journal. I know I haven't been updating on here very often. I needed a change in my life, and the symbolic shedding of my old name is part of that. The new username is "eostaera." I will be on and off this journal but I will no longer be updating it. If you wish to add me go ahead.

Adieu,
Keely

OK, this is getting ridiculous! I was able to see the first Death Note movie. I can't decide if I hate or love it! On one hand they're so accurate in some places, on the other hand the director almost completely ruined the mood.

Things I like about this movie:

1. I love the actor they chose for L. I swear he must be a dancer. He's so graceful and he has L's hands down pat. I sometimes have to rewatch the scenes he's in just to watch how he moves. He even looks like him.

2. I like how they chose most of the other characters, with the exception of a few who I will name in the other part.

3. the sequence of events is almost perfect.

4. I ADORE RYUUKU!!!!

Things I dislike about this movie:

1. I thought they could have chosen someone better to do Light. He was WAY too aloof. He doesn't seem scary enough. He's a good actor though, so I let it slide.

2. Light was not in college at the beginning of the manga. This isn't THAT big a deal, but for the tone of the story, it could be important. The fact that he was an underage, unappreciated high schooler, gives him a cooler air and makes him even more endearing.

Things I HATE about this

1. Despite the good acting, I HATE THE WAY LIGHT'S CHARACTER WAS WRITTEN!!!!! He didn't even have that much humanity in the beginning! He didn't give a damn about the "innocent" agents he killed. They were in the way of his perfect paradise. Nowhere in the movie was I attracted to his evilness like I was in the manga and anime. Oh and he's supposed to be brilliant. I didn't see anything like that. NOTHING in that movie impressed me when it came to his character. They even dumbed down his most brilliant moves. He didn't have a fucking girlfriend in the manga/anime either! He was a cold bastard even before he got the Note. Does anyone know why he was killing convicts??? He was fucking bored!!!! Oh!! And the way he reacted to Ryuuku really pissed me off for some reason. The actor looked scared. LIGHT WAS NOT SCARED. And he didn't give off that stupid grin either.

2. They could have at least made the parts about Naomi (The FBI agent's fiancee) a little more interesting. I thought the way that Light lead her on in the manga was really genius. Now she's a fucking psychopath. If you remember, it was very hard for Light to finally get her name. She was very careful. They just did that for dramatic effect.

3. I HATE the fact that L showed his face to Light in a public like that. I nearly threw my comp out the window. L, or Ryuzaki, is much smarter than that....

4. REM IS NOT A GODSBEDAMNED GUY!!!!!!!!!! REM IS A FEMALE, YOU FUCKING ASSHOLES. SHE DIDN'T EVEN LOOK ANYWHERE CLOSE TO BEING AS REALISTIC AS RYUUKU. SHE IS NOT AS DEMENTED AS RYUUKU. SHE IS REALLY REALLY RESERVED. GET IT RIGHT. I ACTUALLY LIKED HER BEFORE. THANKS FOR RUINING A DREAM.

5. I am not supposed to like Misa this much. Her voice is supposed to be higher and her hair is supposed to be blond. If they try to build a romance between those Misa and Light in the next movie, I'll have an aneurysm.

All for now,
Keely

**Edit** I just saw the commercial in the movie next movie where Light won... WTF?! I did not see any chains before that!. Does that mean they're skipping the chain bit altogether?! They can't do that. I still need to squee with fangirly joy! Bastards....

Just came back from Cali! Yay! I had so much fun! Tell ya more latah.

But first I must tell the world about the Best thing to hit TV in a long time. I will most likely start posting the series starting the from the first episode. Just for my own benefit. Enjoy!

Small plot and a little information for the show

Torchwood: Captain Jack Harkness, a con man from the 51st century last seen traveling with the Doctor, from the show Doctor Who, ventures to early 21st century Cardiff. There, he becomes a member of Torchwood Institute, a renegade criminal investigation group founded by Queen Victoria to battle hostile extraterrestrial and supernatural threats after being rescued from an alien werewolf by the Doctor. The series first showed on BBC three last year. However, By the end of this month the BBC will be showing the season 2 due to the series' growing popularity.

What's going on:

Whilst investigating an old, derelict dance hall, Jack and Tosh are transported back to the 1940s, during the Blitz. Owen, Ianto, and Gwen realise, in modern day, that this has happened, and go in search of clues Tosh may have left. Meanwhile, back in the forties, Jack meets a very interesting man. One with the name Captain Jack Harkness...

It lasted for at LEAST 40 seconds. And the dancing was so sweet. I am not ashamed to say that I cried...

PS Yes, that icon is the same Jack kissing another guy...

My dad now has administrative status on my computer. Meaning if I want to download something, the program must be downloaded through his and put in shared programs. We did this with my Sims 2 and Sims 2:Open for Business. I tried getting on it and everything in the background is bright red. How can I fix this without completely re-loading it???

Well not much has happened lately. I've been sick. That's nothing new but I missed some school. I'm feeling better emotionally though! :D Susan came over on Wednesday to help me clean. I was in a funk for a while where I didn't want to move for anything. We almost finished but there's still more that needs to be done. I've been getting more and more ideas about how to continue my books BUT I CAN'T WRITE ANYTHING BECAUSE MY D*MN LAPTOP IS IN ARKANSAS. I miss my baby. I also have a lot of new ideas for my SIMS2 stuff. Speaking of ideas, I decided on my research topic for my english class.

The view in the psychiatric community that homosexuality can and should be cured is nothing more than high-minded homophobia veiled in half-baked science.

What do you think?

Literally. Fatal Frame II is the scariest game I can find. It had beautiful graphics and invigotating plot.

It's about these twin sisters who are trapped inside this ghost town; Japanese style. The first house they go to shows them the camera obscura. It shows and exorcises ghosts, but somehow verifies their existence on this plane. If somone uses it, the ghosts can affect them physically, attack them. The town is cursed. There was a ritual that went awry many years ago, leaving the villagers trapped. I'm only at the Kurosawa house. I'm sure I can explain it better later but this is the best I can do when I'm semi conscious.

Oh, here's my favorite character on the game. Itsuki Tachibana as a SIM, a fanart, and as Cosplay.

wings of air and water of home
blood of fire and heart of stone

Flying free up in the sky
away from the cage and the ties that bind
I fly to strength on borrowed wings
That help me soar and battle all things

In this battle I take with me
the love of friends and family
The nurturing, mighty rivers flows
away from me and back to home

Fire runs strong within my veins
I shall not lose. I shall not be tame
I cling now and forever to the eternal fire
let all and one know my unrivaled ire

I strengthen my heart for the day to come
For at some point there will stand be only one
Taking up in arms the sword and spear
I shall be ready for what draws near

Defeat is not an option for me
I take these gifts I will not flee
The time has come, now let it be known
I wield the weapons of air, water, fire and stone

The witch's Beltain

Find a rising, a reason, or rhyme
All she needs is a quick pause in time

The color of the sidhe wings
The smell of the cauldron brews
The sound of the silver strings
That sustain the Goddess in you

Pick apart the little things
Inside the crystal quartz
Take your time to paint the sky
With the Horned One as your consort

Find a chanting, a chance, or charm
Do what ye will but do no harm

This is a cute fancomic about the House/Wilson ship. The art kinda surprised me at first but then when I got used to it I really liked it! Sketchy but hip. Picture the manga Priest, the art style not the plot. Although there is some supernatural aspect to it. The title is Voodoo for Christ's sake! All in all I give it a 10.

I just came back from the Texas Shakespeare Festival! It was so cool! We got to see School for Husbands by Moliere, Periclese, Coriolanus, the Monkey King, and Harvey. I'm going to try to do a review for The Canon. A friend of mine asked me to because she liked some of my writing. I made some notes for reviews on the individual plays so I may post on that later.

I had a great weekend, though. I got to meet some of the cast. 99% of them were jerks and brats. I had to deal with them literally saying "fuck" every third word. Randy invited this one he thought was cute and a nice one. 12 other people showed up. I met two nice ones but that was about it. We had a party,I got tipsy and I made three great friends. We bonded. Through the entire weekend we played a run-on questions. We could ask anything we wanted but if we didn't feel comfortable answering we didn't have to. I got to see Randy! He and I got closer too. People thought we had all known each other for years. We're going to go clubbing soon. I bought new clothes and it was the first time in a long time I felt truly free. I had no worries. It was perfect.

I gotta put up some dishes then get ready for work.

There are many things I don't like about the human population in general but the top three are cowardice, stupidity (not ignorance), and purposeful cruelty. I've had it with ridiculous games. I have disabled anonymous replying. I have no problem with conflict but I do have a problem with outright childishness. If you have anything to say to me, own up to it. Sign your damn name. Quit trying to hide behind some false screen just to make yourself feel better. Call me, write me a frickin letter but do NOT waste my time.

Signed, *See? Not so hard.*
